Morning Bugle is an original acrylic painting done on a 16×20 inch stretched canvas.

It was inspired by some other wildlife pieces I have done. Since I had done a deer, moose, and a fox, I thought an elk was the next one I should do. The hill from which this view is from a place near my family’s cabin outside of Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada. There often are elk that pass through here especially during the winter months as they graze for food.

The front corner is signed with my name and the year. The 0.75-inch border is painted a light blue to match the sky. The back has the name of the painting, month and year, and my name. You can see all of this in the photos above.

In this painting, I used Academy, Golden, and Windsor & Newton acrylic paint.

It is finished with a Liquitex satin varnish to assist in the longevity of the painting.

Accompanied with this painting is a signed certificate of authenticity (see example in photos above).

Upon shipping, the painting will be removed from the wooden support frame (which you can see the painting is wrapped around in the photo from behind), and mailed in a cylindrical tube. I will label the support frame for easy reassembly upon arrival by the buyer. Or you can have it framed professionally and not use the support frame at all.
