ORIGINAL PAINTING INFORMATION

This is a mixed media artwork depicting Lake Louise and the boathouse in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada . It is both wood burned and acrylic painted on a piece of pine wood that ranges in size from 7×11 inches to 24×36 inches.

Lake Louise is one of the most iconic lakes in all of Canada. I have been a few times during the summer months but would love to be able to visit in the winter and skate on the lake.

The art is made to order so the processing time is 2-8 weeks from the date of the order. The processing time is mainly dependant on the size of painting ordered. Small paintings take 2-3 weeks and larger paintings take 4-8 weeks.

The final product may vary slightly from the photos above as it is made to order but it will be as close as possible to the original.

The photos above are of the 7×11 inch version.

My process to make these pieces is as follows:

1. Draw on the lines with pencil
2. Burn in the lines with a wood-burning tool
3. Paint in the spaces with acrylic paint
4. Burn the edges of the wood with a blow torch
5. Seal the piece with a clear gloss covering
