Product Review – Rulishe Punch-Free Shelf and Toilet Scrubber
Product Review: Rulishe Punch-Free Shelf and Toilet Scrubber
The company Rulishe reached out and asked me to review these products of theirs. If I have a specific comment about one of the products, I will specify it, otherwise, what I’m saying applies to both products. Sorry the toilet scrubber doesn’t really apply to artists at all!

Shipping/Packaging:
The shipping was not fast or slow. It arrived just over a week after ordering it which is standard for something coming from Eastern Canada to arrive in Western Canada. I could have paid for faster shipping but that isn’t worth it in my opinion.
The packaging itself was okay but not great. They arrived in the large Amazon envelopes. There was no extra padding or anything, just an ill-fitting box inside this giant envelope. I mean, the box didn’t slide around terribly much but it definitely could have been put in the envelope more professionally. One of the envelopes had a big gash in it when I picked it up from the post office.
It is important to note here that the package is “Fulfilled by Amazon” which means that they were the ones who shipped it bad. Not the company who sells the product.
The box was the perfect size for what was in it which is nice. Nothing inside of the box was shaking around or loose. You can see this in the video above.
The pieces inside the box were each wrapped in their own plastic sleeves. This did make it look for professional and kept them separated.
Overall the shipping experience was good. However, the packaging could be more professional by Amazon as something could have arrived damaged.
Assembly:
The assembly for each product was quite simple. The directions for each were just on the sides of the boxes. The toilet scrubber actually told you how to put it all together and then attach it to the wall. The shelves just showed instructions on how to apply it to the wall. Not that it was difficult to attach the hooks, but they did have to be put in a certain way and snap in which could have been shown in some instructions.
If you read the description on the Amazon product page, it talks about what surfaces you should and should not attach it to. It specifically says on the product page not to attach it to painted wall. However, no where on or in the box is there anything that says this. I think that is a major flaw in these products. Many people may not have anywhere else to attach it to. I guess it is important to read that info before purchasing.
A few of the photos on Amazon make it appear as if you can attach it to painted walls which makes it a little confusing. See the images below:
Attaching it to the wall was fast and simple. Waiting 12 hours to let the sticker set wasn’t a big deal either.
Overall my only grief with assembly is that there is no manual to accompany the products. Since they put the instruction on the outside, the could have included some of that information on their Amazon page somewhere on the box as well if they were trying to save on paper.
Quality:
The overall quality of both products seem to be quite good. They are both made mainly of plastic with the brush of the toilet scrubber being made of silicone. The plastic is thick and shouldn’t break easily. There isn’t an indicator of how much weight the shelf can handle but it feels as if it can handle anything that fits in it. Full bottles of shampoo, paints, kitchen stuff, pantry stuff, etc. should all be fine and easily held up.
The hooks on the bottom of the shelf are thick and appear to be able to hold a lot of weight (in relation to their size). They click on nicely which means they don’t shift around easily and are sturdy in place.
The sticker to attach to the wall is nice and big which gives it more surface area to hold to whatever you attach it to. It went on easily and seems solid after putting it on. If anything, it seems as if the plastic attachment part would rip off the sticker before the sticker part would rip off the wall.
The shelf does tilt when heavy things are placed on it. As you saw in the video, I placed a large full water bottle on it which made it tilt. However, it definitely would hold up shampoo, etc. in the bathroom. Using it in my studio, I don’t ever plan to place super heavy things on it anyway so it will easily hold whatever objects I place on it.
I attempted just slightly to take the sticker off of my desk. It would come off with a little effort but I didn’t want to take the whole thing off so I left it. It didn’t seem like it was leaving any marks or residue on the desk either. I can see, however, that if I had placed it on a painted wall, it could damage the wall.
For the price, the overall quality is good.
Usefulness:
As you know, I am an artist. These products seem a bit odd for me to be reviewing, however, the company reached out to me so I thought, why not?
I can see the shelf being useful not only in the bathroom or kitchen, but also in the studio. These shelves could easily be installed on or beside my desk to help keep materials and supplies organized and within reach.
As I showed in the video, many paints have little holes in the bottoms of the tubes which are big enough to fit on the hooks on these shelves. The shelves themselves can obviously hold paint, mediums, paintbrushes, and much more.
I think shelves like this are a great idea and addition to any studio!
Overall Review:
Overall, these are well-made products and are a decent buy for the prices. I like that the shelves are durable thick plastic and that they have hooks on the bottom. These can definitely be useful all around the house. $30 CAD for two shelves is a pretty good price.
The toilet scrubber is $19.99. Having one that attaches to the wall is an intuitive and useful idea. With our little girl right now however, we need to be able to keep things out of her reach so I think we’ll keep it off the wall for now.
