Lake Louise Painting Tutorial

Here is another landscape painting tutorial for beginners of Lake Louise in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. I will take you step by step through my process of how to paint this beautiful Rocky Mountain lake.

All of the paints/brushes used were purchased at the dollar store. This is so you know that you don’t have to spend a lot on materials to have some fun with friends or to start learning how to paint.


Here are the measurements I did before starting (these are for a 10×10 inch canvas)

All measurements are in inches and are from the left side and from the top down

The first mountain on the left comes in at 2.25 inches down and ends at 1 inch to the right and 3.5 inches down

The whole back is at about 3.75 inches down and ends at 6 inches to the right

The far-right mountain comes in at 1.75 inches down

Lake:

The Lake comes in at just over 6 inches on both sides

The back of the lake is at 6 inches and four inches to the right.
