ORIGINAL PAINTING INFORMATION

This is a mixed media artwork depicting the famous Monument Valley. Though this area goes through both the states of Utah and Arizona, these Buttes are in the state of Arizona. The bold reds and oranges fascinated me and I thought this would look great in this style.

The art is made to order so the processing time is 2-8 weeks from the date of the order depending on the size and time of year. The final product may vary slightly from the photos above as it is made to order but it will be as close as possible to the original. The photos above are of the 7×11 inch size.

My process to make these pieces is as follows:

1. Draw on the lines with pencil
2. Burn in the lines with a wood-burning tool
3. Paint in the spaces with acrylic paint
4. Burn the edges of the wood with a blow torch
5. Seal the piece with a clear gloss covering
