Vernazza, Cinque Terre, Italy Mixed Media Artwork

This is an original mixed media artwork that measures 11×14 inches unframed. It is inspired by the breathtaking views in Vernazza which takes part in the infamous Cinque Terre in Italy.

The black lines you see in the painting are burned into the wood plank. From there, I paint in the empty spaces with acrylic paint. It is finished by blow-torching the edges and sealing it with a gloss varnish. This type of finish really makes the colours pop and gives the artwork a beautiful shine. 

It comes framed in a black float frame which really brings out the burned black lines of the artwork.
