Step by Step Painting Tutorial – Lake Moraine

Lake Moraine Acrylic Painting Tutorial

If you have ever been to Banff National Park in Alberta, you know how beautiful Lake Moraine is!

With this video, you can now learn how to paint it!

Follow my step-by-step instructions and you can create your own masterpiece that can serve as a memory of your visit to the lake or inspiration for a future destination.

The materials I used are all at the beginning of the video. They were all cheap paints from the dollar store because you shouldn’t have to pay a lot just to have fun.

The measurements for the peaks of the mountains that I put in are as follows:

From Left to Right and all measurements are from the left and top in inches – *For a 10×10 inch canvas

First Peak – 3 right, 2 down
Bottom of peak – 4 right, 3.25 down

2nd Peak – 5.25 right, 3 down
Bottom of peak – 6 right, just under 4 down

3rd peak – 6.6 right, 3.5 down
Bottom of peak – 7.25 right, 4 down

4th peak – 8 right, 3.4 down

The shoreline starts at 1.6 inches up on each side
Back of lake at 2.5 inches up
